Location, location, location. As creatives ourselves, we know that so much of a project’s success stems from a location that works perfectly. With SCOUT, we created a brand that connects creative people with creative locations - geared specifically towards productions (commercial video shoots, photo shoots, etc
When approaching a startup with a vision as clear and focused as Scout, I design with that same level of focus. One end goal: An amazing identity that is adaptable, strong, clear, and of course beautiful. Creating this visual system of iconography, typography, and a clean cut contrast, Scout now has an identity that will highlight their amazing product. The adaptability of this identity ranges from app icons to a fully mobile responsive website (*app is a work in progress) and everything in between.
For the web design, I researched similar digital platforms centered on location rentals. My goal was to create a unique experience from top to bottom - with intuitive flow from landing on the website to booking. The apps filtering system will allow users to search for locations based on a mood and style, rather than just a scroll.
A huge element of importance was creating a mobile experience for Scout that extended beyond a website. With the Scout App - I created a fast and efficient means of finding locations, adding reviews & posting photos/video. The Scout app is able to send push notifications alerting users of new additions to the platform - as well as alerts on specials, discounts and more.
With a target audience of content creators, photographers, filmmakers, and owners of beautiful shoot locations, Instagram is the obvious choice for Scouts social media rollout. I have created and directed a social media plan consisting of a clean aesthetic, beautiful photography by featured users, creators, and locations, and a clear message: Location is everywhere. This message resonates well as it showcases both creators and locations, all while drawing in interest by showing what is possible by using Scout.
